She still needs your purrs as she is extremely week and still will have to be treated for her heart problems - but she is a bit better!!!! I think if she makes it trough this weekend she will be fine! And I think once again it was the magic of the Cat Blogosphere (= all of you) that helped her! Please keep on purring for a little while till she gets a bit stronger!

Wow.... great minds think alike! We are also very concerned about the Tibet situation. It is shocking that nothing is being done to help these people.... i guess if they had oil the US would be there in a flash.

Nearly 60 years of Chinese heavy-handed rule and destruction of Tibetan cultural heritage and the world looks on idly.
'Free Tibet' group that my human is involved in on campus has been ostracized by the Chinese students and individuals have been harassed. We need supoport!!!! And we need support from the governments!!!!
Tibet, animal cruelty, et al....I wish you better luck than I had with it when I participated in perpetuation a petition around the world to stop China even getting selected as an Olympic host country because of their commercial dogmeat ventures (they Raise St. Bernards and kill them cruelly just for restaurants, among other things)
Well, I'm an old dog now, and I leave the activism for more, er, active animals!

This has been going on for such the longest time. It's really sad to think about how little is actually being done. Mommy remembers going to "Free Tibet," concerts in high school, and still years later, nothing has changed.
We thought we left a comment the other day but it isn't here. It is sad there are so many places in the world where people are oppressed and animals abused. It is never ending and we are sad for those who live in these areas. It's good you care and are committed to doing what you can to help.

No body could believe it when the Olympic Committee awarded the games to Beijing in the first place. Human rights violations and worse, and now cats, just to try to disguise their city as a progressive, modern place to live. Its just a big con. Shame on the Olympic Committee for this outrage.

Apart from one page 3 mention of the Tibetan and proTibetan cemostration outside the Chinese embassy, there is NO further report on news in regards to the Tibetan situation other than what the Chinese official agency has released in the Australian newspapers.

I hate what is happening in Tibet. My mom bean writes about stuff like that. It just confirms the madness of the world to her. Sometimes I'm really glad I'm a fluffhead, but things could happen to me, still. My fluffy heart aches for every living kitty in the world. I want them to all have happy lives....but we know that's not always possible. It makes me very sad.
