Plea For Help

+++ We interrupt our post for some +++
Late Breaking News Here

++++++

As you might know we will post a list of all the Dares that were entered in our
last Dare and dare you all to do as many as you can.
But it will be a little while before we do that as we need a "Dare Break", hahahahahahahaha!

Nevertheless: our friend
Mike the Mysterious had entered a Dare that can not wait any longer!
Here's the Dare he entered:

But he didn't win. So now it's not a dare anymore, it's a plea for help!

Please go over to
his (and Gretchen's) blog to see what he is looking for in a girlfriend and how he describes himself and hopefully someone can help him find a sweetheart!
I Dare You! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Trying To Catch Up...

We have some catching up to do...
On September 4 (!)
Felix, Garfield and Jawsy gave us 'The Best Friend Forever Gold Card' award, thank you so much, friends, we are very honored.

Here are the Rules:
1.Only five people allowed

2.Four have to be dedicated followers of your blog

3.One has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world

4.You must link back to whoever gave you the award

Oh my - those are tricky rules! There are so many dedicated followers to our blog... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - sorry, I couldn't resist - it's Anastasia's spirit which sometimes overcomes me..... o.k. here we go, we give this award to four regulars of our blog (come to think of it....since I prepared this post... were they really around much...? Hahahahahahahaha)

Camies Kitties
Sunny and Olive
Pearl, Bert and Jake
The Island Cats
and to a new visitor

Then on September 12
Jan's Funny Farm gave us the "You Lift My Spirit" award, we are very happy because we LOVE to lift spirits!

To be passed on to 5 others:
Momo
Opus
Sassy
Asta

And on September 14

And on September 21
Socks, Scylla and Charybdis gave us the Premio Dardos Award!
"
With the Premium Dardos, recognize the values that each blogger shows each day in commitment to transmit cultural values, ethical, literary, personal etc. that, in short, demonstrate their creativity by alive thinking that remains intact from their letters and words."

This label implies two rules: the first, link the blog to which he/she received the award. The second - pick blogs to deliver the prize." We would like to hand it on to:
Jake and Bathsheba
Mr. Hendrix
Mr. Chen and Ollie
Mindy and Moe
Tybalt

If we wouldn't be such humble cats all these awards would sure make us feel very special!

Apologies....

We want to officially apologize for not being around much - it's the maid's fault (of course!), she claims she has "human business" to take care of. And the butler is NO help in blogging matters...
We miss you all and as soon as we can tie the maid to the chair in front of the computer we will be visiting again!
Tintin tried his best this morning and forced her to at least check our mail.....

Remembering Roscoe

Today is our friend and Karl and Ruis best man Roscoe's 13th birthday.
Roscoe left 13 days ago to join Anastasia and Emil, Ralph, Miral and Maxime and so many others at the Rainbow Bridge.

We will celebrate his life today (and have a good many strong niptini's in his honor, hahahahahaha) because that is what he wanted us to do!

His brother Opus is holding a wake,
please go here to see the celebration of Roscoe's life.

We Accept The Dare!

This was a very hard Dare to do we thought! Not so much the "save the environment" part, there are many many ways to do that (see here for more information) - but the FUN and CREATIVE side of it.

Our staff was useless. Granted, they do all kinds of things to save the environment: recycle, plan
errands so you don't have to drive again and again for every little bit (sorry, no public transportation where we live), turn the water off when brushing their teeth, wear warm clothes inside the house in the winter so they save on heating, bring their re-usable bags to the supermarket, blablablabla - BORING.

So Mrs. OZ came up with a
creative concept. She says she saves the environment by pretty much staying indoors. How does that work, you might ask. And here comes the creative part: She says 'environment' = surrounding wildlife which she saves by not hunting it. That cat is twisted, I tell you! I am not sure if it counts, though....

Tintin claims he saves the environment by doing his "business" outside. It saves litter, therefore it saves in the manufacturing process as not that much litter has to be produced, it saves in cutting down on the packaging material and it saves gas in that the staff doesn't have to go and get it. He says it's not his fault that Mrs. OZ balances all that out by never using the great outdoors... I accepted it because he looks funny doing it, hahahahahahahahahaha.

That leaves me.
I do all my errands on paws (no emissions wasted)

I don't take showers or baths (no water wasted)

I sleep most of the day and all night (no energy wasted)

I recycle (no rat is ever wasted, I use them again and again. And again if the staff wouldn't interfere)

I use solar and wind energy (the former by heating myself up nicely in sunspots, the latte
r by getting totally energized when it is windy)

Oh my gosh - I am SOOOOO green!!!!

P.S. if you accepted Mr. Chen's Dare to save the environment you can pick up an acceptance button for your blog here in the sidebar!

I Dare You All # 4, Part 2

As you might remember I dared you all to 'Get Involved' and come up with a Dare of your own!
And did you get involved! I received many wonderful Dares, my panel of judges had a very hard time to decide! But they came up with a clear winner!

And today I will Dare you to accept the challenge of our winning Dare!

Here he is, our winner:

Mr. Chen dares you all to
come up with one creative, fun, useful way to save the environment
and put a picture of yourself doing it on your blog!

We Dare You All to accept this challenge!

Very important: Once you have posted your picture put the link to the POST into the Mr. Linky box! This way we can all immediately go and see what you did!

We will leave this Dare up until Saturday, September 20, so you have a whole week to do this!
We accept the challenge and will post our acceptance pictures Sunday, September 21.

The list of all other Dares will be posted next month and I will Dare You All to do as many of them as you possibly can!!! Hahahahahahahahahaha! - So if you sent in a Dare - keep it a secret for now...

Congratulations Mr. Chen!

Announcement

Tomorrow, Saturday, we will post the winning Dare. Out of 48 wonderful Dares that were entered the judges picked a clear winner - nevertheless, it was a very tight race!
The winning Dare has all the elements of a great Dare:

you can do it with a picture, it is for a good cause and it is extremely challenging!

Tomorrow will also be my brother-in-law
Ralph's first bridge day. Only a month after his sister Maxime went to the bridge and only five month after Miral left. Please go over and send Ruis and his family some purrs.

And as you know, only three days ago our good friend, wonderful travel partner and esteemed
CCSI colleague Roscoe was called to the bridge. His brother Opus (who can use some purrs too...) urged us to hold the Dare nevertheless because Roscoe certainly would want us to do it.

I hope you will all come by tomorrow to see who won, what the Dare is and to accept it!

You Will Be Forever With Us

We are sad beyond words about Roscoe's departure to the bridge. Our purrs and hearts are with his family right now. We will post more later, we are still shocked.

The Dare is on hold right now, I hope you understand...

Texas' Last Dare

Before he left for the bridge, Texas came up with this Dare. He was too late in handing it in to be included with all the others for voting but as this is a very grave matter we decided to devote this weekend to just do this Dare as an honor for Texas. Here we go:

We, Texas and The Cat Realm, dare you all to do something to raise money for cancer research, especially for cats.

- donate

- volunteer somewhere

- put a link to a site on your blogs

- take the
Petey challenge
- or whatever else you can come up with to help.

Here are some reputable sites you could use

Winn Feline Foundation
The CSU Animal Cancer Center

Do a post about it and let us know where you donated, or volunteered, which link you put on your blog or what else you came up with to help.

Here is your button that you may display if you accept the challenge

WE DARE YOU!
And don't forget to put your name and link
in the Mr. Linky box if you participate!

You can steal any or all of this post and post it on your blog!

Castle also has the Dare up - Storm also was a victim of this bad disease...

(The judging for our IDYA # 4 "Get Involved" is still going on! Come back next week to see who the winner is!

Awards and Announcement

Sweet Ariel gave us this wonderful award while our Dare was still going on - so now we finally post about it!
She and her Mom created it!!! Isn't that awesome! They call it the "You Lift My Spirit Award".

" It is given to anyone or anyone who's blog has made you smile, laugh or lifted your spirit.
Please link back to the person who gave it to you. Limit 5 picks... "
We are very honored to be among the very first recipients of this great award, we feel that if we can lift the spirit of just one cat, or make just one dog laugh, or put a smile on a human's or other
animal's face - we have done our job!!!! Thank you Ariel, very very much!
Now we will pick

Ariel Yes, we will have to give it back because that crazy cat pretty much makes us laugh every time we go there and see what she is doing with herself!

Yao-Lin I don't think this pick needs any explanation! He is hilarious!

Moki Talk about lifting ones spirit! What an awesome little fighter he is.

Daisy We'd say she probably lifts all our spirits, every Sunday again, with her wonderful Sunday Comics. And then some!

Miss Peach What a wonderful and uplifting spirit this little cat is! Her blog sometimes feels like a resort, a refuge, a place to take a rest and let the spirit soar.

Be assured, there are so many more who lift our spirit, make us smile, make us laugh - but A
riel limited the pick to five, probably knowing that it would get totally out of hand otherwise, hahahahahahahahahahaha! So for once we will follow the rules......

And our good friend Charlie gave us these awards:

They come with rules too
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog

2. Link the person you received your award from

3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs

4. Put links of those blogs on yours, and

5. Leave a message on the blogs that you've nominated

So now we can nominate 7 more blogs for awards!!!!
We give them to:

Kattenpraat
Sassy
Opus and Roscoe
Momo
Karen Jo
Shade and Goldie
Eric and Flynn

Here is the announcement:
Before we will reveal the winner of our last Dare next week, we will hold an honorary Dare in
Texas name. He went to the bridge today and this will be his, and his Mom's, Dare.
Please come back on Friday to accept the challenge!

We hope he will come home any moment now and stay a while!
