Plea For Help
As you might know we will post a list of all the Dares that were entered in our last Dare and dare you all to do as many as you can.
But it will be a little while before we do that as we need a "Dare Break", hahahahahahahaha!
Nevertheless: our friend Mike the Mysterious had entered a Dare that can not wait any longer!

I Dare You All # 4, Part 2
As you might remember I dared you all to 'Get Involved' and come up with a Dare of your own!
And did you get involved! I received many wonderful Dares, my panel of judges had a very hard time to decide! But they came up with a clear winner!
And today I will Dare you to accept the challenge of our winning Dare!

Announcement
Tomorrow, Saturday, we will post the winning Dare. Out of 48 wonderful Dares that were entered the judges picked a clear winner - nevertheless, it was a very tight race!
The winning Dare has all the elements of a great Dare:
you can do it with a picture, it is for a good cause and it is extremely challenging!
Tomorrow will also be my brother-in-law Ralph's first bridge day. Only a month after his sister Maxime went to the bridge and only five month after Miral left. Please go over and send Ruis and his family some purrs.
And as you know, only three days ago our good friend, wonderful travel partner and esteemed CCSI colleague Roscoe was called to the bridge. His brother Opus (who can use some purrs too...) urged us to hold the Dare nevertheless because Roscoe certainly would want us to do it.
I hope you will all come by tomorrow to see who won, what the Dare is and to accept it!

Texas' Last Dare
Before he left for the bridge, Texas came up with this Dare. He was too late in handing it in to be included with all the others for voting but as this is a very grave matter we decided to devote this weekend to just do this Dare as an honor for Texas. Here we go:

I Dare You All...
... to come up with a Dare of your own!
One year ago at this day Anastasia went to the bridge. And instead of mourning her death today we decided to celebrate her life by holding another Dare, a tradition at The Cat Realm that she invented with her pink wig challenge.
We call this fourth Dare the "Get Involved Dare" because we want each and everyone of you to come up with a Dare of your own. You can Dare us to do anything - no violence of course! And try to keep it kitten friendly...
A panel of judges will vote on the best Dare and the winner will be the next Dare for everybody to do!
The panel of judges was chosen from among cats and dogs who all have done outstanding efforts to bring us all together - get us involved - as a community. The list of those individuals is long but our maid insisted on keeping the number of judges small so we did have to make a selection...
I will only list one of the sometimes many of the efforts by those we chose:
Pablo for his AWESOME Footy Finals Fever competition
Nelson LaPurr for giving us MEOW LIKE A PIRATE day
Skeezix for his Halloween contest
Opus for the Mafia Movie Night
Sassy for CCSI
Gretchen for giving us Mike
Lenny for the 2008 Paw-Limpics
Monty Q. for his Do The Q! contest originally was also on this panel. As you all probably know his family lost their sweet baby Violette, so they need him for support. Our purrs and thoughts are with him and his family during this time of incredible grieve and sadness.
Every animal and human can participate, one entry per animal/human.
You have to have an active blog to participate but if you share a blog with others each one can enter.

Souvenirs From Africa
I am back home and finally met Tintin. I don't know why Mrs. OZ was worried about what I might do... I am happy he is here and hope he likes his new home with us!
We started out with a little wrestling match right away! I am sure we will be good friends!
Now onward to the gifts! Of course I brought souvenirs from Africa as presents for everyone! Tintin got a pair of "training glasses" - and I will start looking around for his real ones which he will get once he gets his real teeth.
Mrs. OZ got a copper plaque in the shape of Africa, with a lion and an elephant on it.
The maid got a kanga and some Masai jewelery (Tintin needs to inspect, hahahahahahaha)
The butler got a Masai shield. Remember the rescue mission? Check out the shield that Roscoe is wearing while dancing!
Everybody liked their presents, and I think they were all happy that I am back! I am sure happy - although I already miss my Ruis who is back home with his family who are all very sad about Maxime's departure to the bridge....
BUT: I have a Dare to do! Remember: Only 2 more days! Are you ready yet.... see tomorrow....

DUYS Summary
Thank you everybody who participated in Anastasia's last Dare: Dress Up Your Staff. I hope you all had a lot of fun, we sure enjoyed it a lot and Anastasia is probably still laughing at the bridge! We didn't quiet get the entries to top the last Dare but we still put on the Groucho Marx glasses because we didn't want to fuzz about a couple of missing participants...You can see all the entries here.
93 mostly cats voted on their favorite entry and we have a clear viewer's favorite: Adan, who took good revenge for being dressed up as a vishus deer this Halloween.

Finally you can get revenge: Let your humans experience what it feels like to be dressed up for public display!!!
As an added incentive I, Karl, decided to give a Value T-shirt of your choice from the watgog store to the viewers favorite!
Everybody can vote on their favorite picture next Friday and Saturday (November 9 and 10). One vote per animal. Our picture is not eligible for voting.
I put the Dare up today, on the Day of the Dead, in the hope that Anastasia’s spirit might come and dare you herself! Questions? Help? Email us!
And here are the maid and the butler, dressed up according to the written instructions Anastasia left behind:
Helpful hint: Temptations didn’t work… Try chocolate…. Each of them got a full pound of it – they still would not smile, no matter what – I was under the impression that they did not appreciate the experience….
Use of Photoshop and similar programs is strongly discouraged but if you have humans that absolutely go wild when you try and dress them up – you can use image editing as a last resort of course…

Thursday Thirteen
Here are 13 reasons for you to accept IDYA#3 (I Dare You All #3) which will be posted tomorrow, Friday November 2nd at 7 am Pacific Time.

2 - As a matter of fact: you do not have to wear ANYTHING.
3 - You can dare your nomss friend to do it too. And if you don't have a nomss friend this is a good opportunity to make one.
4 - It will be a lot of fun for you to do.
5 - You do not need Photoshop! The use of any picture editing program is actually strongly discouraged!
6 - You might feel really good after doing it.
7 - You will receive another fabulous button to put on your blog.
8 - One word: REVENGE!
9 - It will be revealing.

We will keep this post up for several days because I realize that this is a somewhat different challenge! It requires real effort. And time. And courage to go and talk to strangers and ask them to be friends. But I think that this is something we all need to do more these days!
You can pick up your IDYA buttons here, they are designed so that you can put your new friend’s picture in it and is meant to be put in your sidebar with a permanent link to their blog.
We promised: no photoshop! So whoever does not have the software or skills to put their friend’s picture in the button – email us and we do it for you!
I do hope that each and every one of you accepts this challenge so we can make the blogosphere an even better and bigger community and show everybody how we cross borders and have no patience for prejudices, racism and intolerance towards others!

And remember: don’t just put your nomss friend’s picture on your Blog but treat them as true friends. Visit often, respect and support them, help them when they need it and most important: learn from how they are different from you and find your common features!

Thursday Thirteen
Anastasia allowed me to do the next I Dare You All… because she was very intrigued by my proposal! And I am extremely excited!
Here are 13 reasons why you should accept the IDYA #2 challenge which will be posted this coming Sunday morning, August 5 at 9:30 EST:
1 - you do not have to wear a pink wig.
2 - you do do not have to wear ANYTHING if you don’t want to…
3 - it will still be fun.
4 - you do not need photoshop!
5 - you probably feel really good afterwards.
6 - you will receive another fabulous button to put on your blog.
7 - it might make the net a better place.
8 - it could be a lasting experience.
9 - I really poured my heart in it and would be crushed if not many participate…
10 - you might learn something.
11 - it is 1 great challenge, coming up in 3 days: 1 and 3 = 13!
12 - you can wear a pink wig while doing it…
13 - Anastasia made a bet that if I get more participants than she did for the pink wig dare she will post a picture of herself in Groucho Marx glasses and a party hat!
And that last point alone should be reason enough for everybody to attend!!!!
