This Is What I Did.....

I felt really very lonely here with Karl being on safari...
So I went to the local pound which is just overflowing with cats and kittens (foreclosures, students leaving for the summer, etc.) and I rescued a kitten. The maid had gotten a "Help! Adopt a kitten" sheet some days ago with lots of pictures of cats in jail, and one of the pictures was this:

Yes, I got the guy who the arrow points to. Because he is a ginger cat like me! O.k. I may be a very diluted ginger cat but check out my tail and my ears... And yes, I hiss at him constantly. But he already knows that it is just all show and no teeth - no pun intended....
I hope Karl will not be mad...
Imagine something like this would happen, oh my, oh my, what did I do...

And the kitten does the Monty Q.! So I entered him in the contest and I will introduce him to you now with the "outtakes" from our photo session. I used Emil's camera but I am not as good as he was. Yet.

I Got Mail

As you might know, Karl and Ruis went to pay Sassy, Opus and Roscoe and Momo a surprise visit at their safari in South Africa.
And left me at home.
Didn't even ask if I would like to come.
So what if I did say that I don't like the outdoors, wild animals, jeep tours. That I think Africa is full of mosquitoes, snakes and dangerous predators...

They must have heard about my complaints because today I got a postcard from them:

So now I feel a little bad and I also wonder if I might have been a bit hasty with my actions here....
I wonder what Karl will say once he finds out what I did....

We Are Crashing The Safari!

Remember how our romantic Antarctica cruise for two ended up with LOTS of visitors?
Now we are going to crash the safari! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Mancat Monday

This post is for the most awesome Mancat ever: my husband Ruis! Guess what he did?
He sent me a snuggle!!! He actually didn't send it himself but he bid on it and then had Diva Kitty send it to me directly.
First I hoped maybe he might come out of the package himself, hahahahahahahahaha!

Unfortunately he was not in there himself... But the wonderful snuggle was, and three squiggly things to play with and a beautiful card.

So I unfolded the snuggle and laid down on it and started dreaming about my Ruis right away.

And then I got up to do some stretching and guess what....

Maybe she tries to get back at me for this.....

Another Award

Today we were making our rounds to personally extend our gratitude to all of you who participated in Emil's wake. And we realized that in our grieve and sorrow it slipped our minds to mention another award in our last post.
Miss Peach gave Emil this wonderful award:

And this is what she said:"...I would like the honor of giving this award to Emil for his talent that he amazed us with while he was a part of our world. Now in heaven, this will look very good on his resume!"

Thank you Miss Peach, we are sure Emil is very very proud!

Lots Of Thank Yous

Thank you everybody who came and participated in Emil's Wake. We very much appreciated it and were very touched. We will come by in the next few days to personally thank you all for being such wonderful friends.

We have some catching up to do. Already in May we got the 'Totally Hip Award' from wildcatsthree. This is what they said: "...we always enjoy our visits to the Cat Realm because of their creativity and ability to entertain...their world travel and cruises around the blogosphere are a must see." WOW. That is quiet a compliment! Thank you so much Abby, Rosie, Jackie, Gidget and Lola.


In July Castle wrote: "...I think that Storm would have passed this award on to every single cat, creature and human that came by to wish her well on her final journey, and I would like to pass this on to all who have since visited us to make sure me and my meowmies are OK...so we pass this on to all of you!" Thank you Castle, we humbly accept this in honor of the wonderful Furry Fighter Storm - we will never forget you and always love you!


And Samantha and Mr. Tigger gave us the Arte y Pico Award.

A Wake For Emil

Our dear friend and bestest men Opus and Roscoe put together an Irish Wake for Emil.

Emil would not want us to sit around and mope so we decided to go to Mr. Hendrix's house trashing party this Sunday, July 6! We will take Emil's camera with us - maybe someone volunteers to try and catch Bendrix and/or anybody else who misbehaves - which should be pretty much anybody who comes, hahahahahahaha - on film.
