So I went to the local pound which is just overflowing with cats and kittens (foreclosures, students leaving for the summer, etc.) and I rescued a kitten. The maid had gotten a "Help! Adopt a kitten" sheet some days ago with lots of pictures of cats in jail, and one of the pictures was this:
Yes, I got the guy who the arrow points to. Because he is a ginger cat like me! O.k. I may be a very diluted ginger cat but check out my tail and my ears... And yes, I hiss at him constantly. But he already knows that it is just all show and no teeth - no pun intended.... I hope Karl will not be mad...

And the kitten does the Monty Q.! So I entered him in the contest and I will introduce him to you now with the "outtakes" from our photo session. I used Emil's camera but I am not as good as he was. Yet.Here is Tintin, the new kitten at The Cat Realm:
(Don't worry, he only goes out fully supervised by a human right now until he is bigger!)
And to tell you how we pronounce all our names I had the maid do a Voki recording for you, she'll say:Mrs. OZ, Karl, Tintin, Emil and Anastasia

Tintin is adorable. Our human bean would have had trouble coming back with just one.
We love your markings Mrs. Oz. You look like a Turkish Van, with those markings. Mommy had never heard of Turkish Van's until she got us. We kinda fit the description but we have too much ginger and black. Because we are so active and literally run around until we pant like dogs then flop down ( a characteristic of the breed) Mommy thinks we may have a Van ancestor in our family tree.
