Bad Girl

Haha! I really terrorized the staff over the last couple of days! I stayed out two nights in a row! When the maid and the butler came around Thursday afternoon and called me with promises of shrimp I just gave them “The Look” and walked away. Nothing they can do about it. Sometimes they trick me, though. They call Karl – and that do-gooder-I-am-such-a-people-cat” always comes when they call. And lets himself being picked up. Anytime! I never allow that outside the house. Sometimes not even inside the house. Anyways – they call Karl and pick him up and carry him in while telling him about the wonderful shrimp and beef treats that he will get. So naturally I have to follow! And then I can’t get out anymore. But not Thursday! And I stayed out and had such a good time that I did it again Friday night. I had shown myself during the day though – don’t want to scare the staff too much. But I heard how the butler gave the maid some medicine out of the big brown bottle (Konjaak, I think they call it) Friday night so she could sleep and not worry again all night long. Hahahahahaha – got to show them who is in charge sometimes!

Anastasia, Her Highness, Queen of the Wilderness, a Feline Unleashed!

( I might stay in tonight. I am kind of tired. And hungry. And thirsty. And I know they will just fawn over me all evening long!)

Let me just get this straight: you are worrying your humans so much you are driving them to drink? EXCELLENT work!!!! I am mightily impressed. Must try this. Technique noted.

You are TOUGH. I'd never survive in the out-of-doors without my warm, soft pillows, drinks with ice, and litterbox. I'm too pampered. You'll have to have the wilderness adventures for the rest of us.

Be careful, dear Anastasia! But enjoy the beef and shrimp -- sounds like a delightful meal.

Anastasia, sorry we haven't been online for days, but our secretary hasn't let us blog.

I used to be like you when I was younger. I drove my mom to distraction when I ran away from home on two difference occasions. You can imagine the attention I received when I returned! That was a long time ago, and now that I'm nearly 16, I mostly enjoy the good life indoors. I still go outside a little during the day, but I'm not the hunter I once was. Mom's bed and the chair cushions appeal to me more now.

You and Karl had asked us about scary coyotes and bobcats in our outdoors, as well as owls. Coyotes are around occasionally, but we think they can get some easy goose pickings if they hunt near the large pond not too far from us. (There's a large population of resident Canada geese there.) No bobcats have been sighted in our local area, and the owls around here can't hunt big kitties like us. We also have foxes, but they don't hunt cats.

Congratulations on being Cat of the Day last week. Those were some excellent photos.

Be careful!

Anastasia, you are very brave. But be careful. Outside can be dangerous, and I wouldn't want anything happening to you.

Stay out and about it's so much more fun
by the light of the moon and the shine of the sun
Mousing, carousing and purring with glee
there's so much to do and so much to see

It's good that you don't worry them too much. My human would probably never let you out again if you did that to her!
