Still Missing, Day 5

Thank you everybody so much. We owe you all, we hope we can somehow repay all the kindness and support. I am sorry to say, there is still no sign of her.
The
Mosaic Lady has offered to auction off CoCo, her blog's masthead to help with any bills we might have in relation to Anastasia's disappearance.
Tyler's Mom last night convinced the maid to accept her offer to pay for Hilary, the animal communicator, even if it is just to bring some closure. We are currently waiting to hear from her.
And
Skeezix has organized a blog blast for Anastasia for today.
We are all absolutely speechless about all this outpouring of help. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

I know a lot of you have voiced concern about my well being, being an outdoor cat and all. The staff would love nothing more than to lock me in and have me safe - but they realize that it would not make for a happy life for me. I do appreciate that they do not imprison me, even if it means that they might get terribly hurt - as we all just did.

But we do take comfort in the fact that every day of Anastasia'a life here was lived to the fullest and happy as can be. Which would have not been the case, had she been forced to stay inside. Some cats just can't do it. And our staff realizes that.

Life is not safe.

I keep hearing about terrible floods and fires and i just hope you all are safe and well, please!

Karl

karl, we understand. i think a good number of us want you to be indoors because it is hard for us to say goodbye to our well-loved friends.

i know the choices that you (and your staff) make are made for YOU, not for us. that's ok...and more than ok, it's good.

i'm glad there are people who have offered to help your staff with finances. loss is expensive in many ways.

remember how much love is being sent in your direction, and how many cats (and their people) stand by to help.

Karl, we're still hoping, but we's glad you and Anastasia haf had the bestest home. Mom's firstest cat refused to use a litter box, so was an indoor/outdoor kitty in the city! It would be furry hard to change yur ways. Puleeze, furiend, stay alert when yur outside!!!

Fanks fur askin bout the rest of us... that's furry thotful. We was afraid we mite need an ark wif all the rain, but it stopped an we had OPEN WINDOWS yesterday an again today. So I'm still sad bout Ana, but enjoyin the breeze while purraying fur her.

I am still praying and purring for Anastasia's safe return, Karl, and my humans are praying. Miracles do happen, and cats do show up weeks and weeks after having gone missing. I do hope Anastasia will show up soon and safe.

I understand that you and your staff have made the right choice for you, but please stay safe. Know that many of us spend our entire lives indoors, happy and healthy.

Karl, my heart goes out to you and your family. I wish I could be there myself to scour the area for Anastasia. I hope you can feel the wave of love during the BlogBlast, and that you are comforted by it.

We all wish we could help out. It is hard to make an outdoor/indoor cat indoors. My human struggled with that with Georgia and to this day she still has to go out for short times in nice weather. As she got older, she enjoyed inside more!

I'd love to see that bobcat go hunting in some other part of it's territory to give you all some time to relax. Are there ways of discouraging bobcats from roaming in your area or encouraging them to roam and hunt elsewhere?

Perhaps Anastasia's karma is a lesson to remind us all that it's about quality not quantity of life that counts.

We will continue our goodwill to you and yours to use as you need--whether it be for a miracle that she turns up hungry and thirsty and otherwise unharmed or whether it be for comfort in the discouragement of going longer and longer without her.

Just checking in to see if that girl came home yet. Me and Mom want you to know we are thinking about you and her. I would be beside myself without one of my cats. They are my family.

If I have my time zones correct, and I think I do, it is about 15 minutes until the Minute of Purrprayers. We'll be there.

my i am sorry, so sorry to hear :( my mum lived most her life in tucson and her family is still there - far east side of town by the monument - and there's lots of wildlife that gets pets. but as hard as it is to realize she probably got caught by wildlife you are giving her a good life by letting her have some freedom. my mum lets us run outside too even though there are birds because she knows God made us to be outside and we are happiest then. it's hard because mum wants the best for us to be happy but worries too. part of living this side of heaven. romans says creation groans in eager anticipation of its release from the bondage of sin ~ we animals feel that especially because we were meant to be free but in our freedom we aren't always perfectly safe.

mum says she'll keep you in her prayers - we are all very sorry and sending hugs, licks (from the pups) and nose bumps from the higher life here.. you know, the bunnies
