The Butler's Windows

Remember the Sleepy Sunday Post with our beds on top of the stain glass window that the butler was making? The one on the right is the one in that post, the one on the left is one he did before that.
You can see more at his website!

Many Things

First and foremost: our beloved sweet Anastasia, who we still miss every single day and will love forever was honored with a limerick by Karen Jo this Wednesday. Yes - this is why the sun feels so much warmer on your furs the last couple days - because I am sure Anastasia is BEAMING with pride and joy!

Anastasia's soul shines bright as the sun.
She could dazzle the eyes of anyone.
While here on Earth
She brought such mirth
With her dares, sunglasses and hats just for fun.

Secondly: thank you all so much for your congratulations to Ruis (read his limerick here!) and my engagement! Yes, there will be a BIG wedding party - probably in April or May. And you will ALL be invited, for sure!

Thirdly: we got an award! Samantha and Tigger were kind enough to give us the "This Blog is Rated E for Excellence Award" - thank you Samantha and Tigger, we are very honored!

We are instructed to send this to 10 Blogger Writers of outstanding style and ability!
So we like to pass this award on to (in alphabetical order, hahahahahaha)
Adan
Asta
Catnip Corner
Chairman Mao
Daisy
Faz
Opus and Roscoe
Ruis
Skeezix
Yao-Lin

And last but not least: our sweet friend Ariel gave Ruis and me The Caring Cat Award! Thank you so much Ariel!
And Catnip Corner gave it to us The Cat Realm! Thank you Jackie, Gidget and Fritz.

And I like to give this award to Gaius - unfortunately I do not know how he is doing - his last post is from December 13, 2007 - does anybody know what is going on with him???

Mancat Monday: To Ruis From Karl

+++Breaking News: RUIS ACCEPTED!!!!+++

This is my proposal to my beloved boyfriend Ruis.

Meme

I have been tagged for a meme. Here are the rules:
- You have to post who tagged you and link back to them. Lucky tagged me.
- You have to tag 3 other kitties, beans, woofies, or any other assorted animal.
- What three things would you do that you have never done before, if you knew you wouldn't get caught, get in trouble, or suffer any consequences.

1. I would stay out all night!
Now I have actually done this a couple of times and it did greatly upset the staff! Because the trouble I could get into by doing this could be owls, coyotes, and bobcats with consequences no one wants to think about....

2. I would start a lizard farm.
Yes. For consumption.

3. I would eat a whole stick of butter at once every day.
Which I actually could - the butler leaves it out and doesn't care if I help myself or not. Because he knows as well as I do about the consequences: horrid diarrhea!!! I've done it twice, it was not nice, I carefully only lick a little bit at a time now...

I tag my lovely boyfriend Ruis, our very special friend Sassy and a new cat on the blog, Shelby Fatman.

Karl Has A Limerick!!!!!

Emil and Mrs.OZ here. We are so proud of our Karl -
he was featured at Karen Jo's blog and got his very own limerick!!!!
Thank you Karen Jo!!!

Karl is a cat of many talents.

He goes far beyond poise and balance.
He did a writing gig
And chased a nasty pig.
He does it all with a flair and nonchalance.

Do not miss to enter the contest!!!

I Am A Cheerleader!

Our good friend Sassy persuaded Ruis and me to take part in a cheer leading course!
Here we are at the Cheer Leading Academy:

l-r: Karl, Ruis, Mystery, Daisy, Miss Peach, Sassy, Percy, Momo, Asta, Opus, & Roscoe

We did a lot of team practice:

Front center: Chilly
Second row l-r: Brownie & Miss Peach
Third row l-r: Percy, Norman, Roscoe, Mystery, Ruis, Opus & Karl
Fourth row l-r: Asta, Daisy & Sassy

And we also tried some different jumps one by one, like I do here. This was a tough jump - you can see it in my face....

But we all passed and got a beautiful certificate to proof it!

Thank you Sassy for this wonderful experience!

Do not miss to enter the contest!!!

The Red Carpet Buzz, A Contest!

The humans have a very important red carpet event coming up on February 24:
the 80th Academy Awards Show, in short and better known as
"The Oscars".

As we all know, the most important thing about this show and the main reason millions are watching it are -
the dresses, the suits, the gowns!

So Little Productions came up with a contest to show those humans we can do it better! And if canceled - ours might then be the only show to watch, hahahahahaha!

Dress yourself up in the most glamorous outfit you can imagine and post it here by February 23.

Login: redcarpetfashion, password: dressedup.

You can also click the Red Carpet Button in my sidebar.
And on Oscar night, February 24, let's all post our dress-up pictures on our own blogs and show those humans!

After the Oscars we will have viewers vote for
the best outfit in 4 categories:

Best female "real" outfit
Best male "real" outfit
Best female "image edited" outfit
Best male "image edited" outfit

Surprise prizes for the winners in each category!

If you have questions you can email Karl.

HAVE FUN!!!

Ruis and I WereTagged

Moses, Bear and Emmy tagged Ruis and me for the "Seven Random Things" meme.
Our answers are also posted at our joint blog Karl & Ruis but we only use that blog when we travel together. Or have a big party, hahahahahaha!

So, here are seven random things about us:

1. We had our first date in the back of a bus.

2. We are members of Little Productions.

3. In spite of seemingly obvious evidence to the contrary we both HATE the cold.

4. We have very funny humans! See some evidence here and here.

5. We are both people cats! We just love people.

6. We live on two different continents! Karl in Arizona, and Ruis in the Netherlands.

7. As far as we know we are the first (and so far only?) gay couple in the Cat Blogosphere. But most certainly not in the animal world at large!

This meme has been around a while so we will just invite anybody who reads this and hasn't done it yet to PLEASE do it!!! Just let us know that you did it, please, so we can come over and read all these random things about you!

In Memoriam

Zed, 1992 - 2008

Zed was the dog of the maid's best friend in New York. She knew him since he was a puppy and visited him several times every year.
He died this Sunday.
Zed was the most wonderful dog you can imagine.
Loving, gentle, caring and kind.

The last two years of his live he was paralyzed but he never complained and enjoyed whatever pleasures life would
give him.

He is survived by his human and his dog buddy Festus, who is a lot younger than Zed and ever since he was a puppy has never been without him.
They do not blog but if you could send them some purrs and/or barks or leave a comment here I am sure they would appreciate this.

It was a very sad weekend, last weekend....

Mancat Monday: Dedication to Caesar

Caesar
April 15, 1991 - January 20, 2008

Please Purr For Dorothy!

Gretchen's mom-bean Dorothy, who blogs at Scrungy and Friends, is very sick... her heart got badly out of rhythm and she had to be put in cardiac intensive care.

Please join us in sending love and purrs to Auntie Dorothy and her family. Dorothy's daughter, Gretchen's Auntie Paula, blogs at Basset Knitter. I'm sure both Gretchen and Paula would appreciate lots of purrs and supportive notes. And you can leave a note on Auntie Dorothy's blog here.

Please feel free to use /modify the graphic of Dorothy and Gretchen for use on your blogs!

Thank you Ballici for alerting us!

Awards!

While Karl was cruising we got showered in awards!!!
We actually got the Golden Rose Award from Catnip Corner already in December but never got around to posting about it....
And also in December we got the Golden Rose at the tea party that Miss Peach gave for her Mom's birthday.
Here it is, thank you so much!!!Then Catnip Corner also gave us the "you make my day award" just two days ago - we are so honored, thank you very much for giving us awards, we really appreciate it a lot!
This award is presented to bloggers whose blog brings you happiness and inspiration and makes you feel happy about Blogland.

Our good friend Ariel gave us this wonderful award:

Thank you Ariel for being our friend!
There is no way for us to chose among all the blogging animals to give these awards to. All of you make our day everyday we go and read your blogs and we feel like you are all our friends.
So - if you are a blogging animal and have been visited by us - we give you these awards. Just take them - display them - and say The Cat Realm gave them to you!

And we got the next award from two cats!
Sassy, wonderful friend, CCSI producer, Astronaut, Cheerleader - and we don't even want to speculate about what else she might come up with next...
And Yao-lin, Royal Highness of the Blogosphere and brother-in-spirit of Anastasia

There are rules attached to this award:
1. You must write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think (no fish or bird blogs, they'll just make you hungry)
2. Acknowledge this post
3. Optional Proudly display the Thinking Blogger Award with a link to the post that you wrote
4. Go tell your humans to fork over the treats!

We will pass this award to
the meowers from missouri
Gaius the Cat
Catnip Corner
Cato
and my beloved Ruis

And finally an award was given to Anastasia by Yao-Lin, "because she shone brighter than most during her too short time in this world."

He created this award for the sole purpose of recognizing those bloggers who are, quite literally, gems!
She sure was a gem and we miss her every day! Thank you Yao-Lin for remembering and honoring her!!!

And don't miss to take a look at Ruis and my blog - because we got an award too!!!!

Please Come Home, Mao! and Annie!!

Mao is home safely!

Now please purr and concentrate your efforts to bring Annie back home inside!!! Take her picture too and encourage everycat to send their "homing beams" and tell her to go back inside again!

Gone Cruising!

Go HERE to follow our daily adventures in Antarctica!

Sassy, creator and producer of CCSI, gave us a cruise as an opening night present for The Santa Caper!
Ruis and I are leaving today to fly down to Chile to catch our ship and we will be cruising Antarctica together from January 4 to 10!

You can follow our adventures down South every day at our joint blog
Karl & Ruis!
Please stop by!
We will take a laptop along so we hopefully can visit you all while we are playing with the penguins, hahahahahaha!

Wordless Wednesday

We Are Starting The New Year With Awards!

Thank you Jimmy Joe to start our year in the best possible way: by getting an award!!!
Jimmy gave us the So Special Award "because they spread good karma around" - how much better can life get???

We like to give this award to some cats that are very special themselves:
First my dear boyfriend Ruis. He is the most special cats of all and the best boyfriend a cat can have! He is caring and loving, multi-talented and beautiful, and always humble about it!
Then to our dear friend Sassy. With her idea of CCSI she started one of the most amazing endeavors the cat blogosphere has seen so far! It takes a very special cat to come up with an idea like that and then MAKE IT WORK!
And to our friends Opus and Roscoe. They moved to Italy so their human servant wouldn't feel lonely, they organize raffles to help others and they are the backbone of CCSI, writing, acting, co-producing and graphic-designing.
All of these cats are very special - as in my opinion is every cat and especially those who blog! - and I am very glad and happy to give them this award as those four especially have grown very close to me in the last weeks through the production of CCSI.

Furthermore our dear friend Sassy gave us the "Life Is Like Hell Without Friends Award" back on December 20 - but I never posted about it -
Thank you Sassy, good friend!

We would like to pass this award on to Tyler - our very good friend who gave us the session with the animal communicator when we were in need of it but could not afford it! We will never forget acts of kindness like that one!
