Still Missing, Discouraging News

When the maid read about Skeezix's Blog Blast she literally broke down, crying almost hysterically.
You guys are just too wonderful in your support.
It is very hard on the staff, but you all know that. And unfortunately I understand that a lot of you have been there.

We want to thank you all, we don't know what we would do without you.

The discouraging news: I got chased but the big bad bobcat again today, I ran as fast as I could back home into the studio of the butler and he was there and got MAD and chased the bad bobcat, who was literally standing at his doorstep, away.

The staff is convinced now that the bobcat got Anastasia. She was never as alert as I was, and got distracted sometimes. And the staff told me that they have friends who actually SAW a bobcat eating their cat.

I stayed inside for the rest of the day. But I will go out again tomorrow, the staff understands that you just can not lock up a cat, even if it is for safety. We need to roam.

I miss Anastasia so much....

Karl
P.S. - I am so sorry - I am so enveloped in my own grief that I forget that there are floods and disasters out there - I really do hope all the animals and their beans in the blogosphere are doing o.k.?
Please send me some GOOD news!

*sniff* I am too upset for words.

If it was the bob cat, mark my words, he is most definitely on my hit list. I know anastasia would approve.

I am still praying she will return, as you say, miracles do happen. xxx

Karl, No! We can not believe this.
Oh no!

You must not go outside.
You need to stay in and learn to be safe and happy inside. Out of doors is dangerous for small tigers. Here we have the hazards of automobiles, and foxes, and even some wild cats! They lurk in the dark and attack. The automobiles go so fast!

If it is true, that Anastasia was murdered, then we do not want you to suffer the same fate. Your maid and butler will be devastated.

Karl, this news is too shocking for us old kitties to bear. we have lived 16 years in safety and security.

We will continue to purr with all our heart!

Our mom's eyes start leaking every time she thinks about Anastasia and how you guys all must be feeling. We're still purraying and purraying for her to come home. We know first hand how powerful the cat blogosphere can be when we all link paws and send out all that pawsitive energy. Hang in there. Hugs and purrs.

Our Mom is crying big tears for Anastasia, but let's not give up hope yet. Why can't that bobcat go after those coyotes or something! We both love to go in and outside, but Mom would probably put a stop to our beloved freedom if we had a scary bobcat around like that. Why does our big wild cousin have to be so mean.

Sending love and wishing you the very best,
~J&B and their Mom

My eyes are leaking, too. If Anastasia is still here, I hope this will convince her to try her hardest to get home. If she is at the Bridge, then I am certain she will feel all of our thoughts and know that she was loved.

Karl, please be safe. And know that our thoughts are with you and your family.

We are very sad to hear that Karl. Our prayers have been that if Anastasia doesn't come home, you at least get closure to KNOW. I know for us that would have been the hardest to not know.

I wish that you could stay in for a day or so--at least until that Bobcat moves on or something!

I'm so sorry...maybe she will still come back...you just never know. I'll never forget when I called my baby Ernie's name, who had been lost for two days, and he answered me from up a tree! It DOES happen!!

I wanted to give you this website. We bought one of these fences and put it up and it works so great! I have some pictures up of it on my blog, or I could e-mail you some if you want them!

We do believe in miracles but we also know reality can be harsh. We will continue to pray Karl.

Karl, I am in agreeance with Ceasar, Princess and others...you must stay inside and learn to be happy there. I couldn't bear to think that you could be taken by the bobcat, especially after he chased you! Sounds like he has a taste for domestic fuzz. Please...please stay inside from now on! You'll get used to it! Purrs from Emma and her crew.

Karl, please do not go outside for a couple of days. I do not want to accept the fact that anything bad could have happened to our Ana, but I do not want to know that my almost brother-in-law has been hurt also. We are all purraying and sending positive thoughts yours and the maid and butlers way....Monte

oh Karl. we are just so devastated to read this. we hope and pray that Ana is still out there- miracles do happen. Mommy's eyes is leaking lots, and her heart hurts for all of you.

Ana, please feel our purrs and purrayers and let everyone know where you are!

The Lee County Clowder said...

Karl, please. You may have to get used to staying inside, or at least spending your outside time in an enclosure. The alternative is to say your good-byes to your staff every time you leave the house, and leave knowing that you might not make it back.

Stay inside, at least for a week or two. Your staff might not make it if you disappear, too, especially right now.

Come home, Anastasia, everyone in the Cat Blogosphere is worrying about you and purrring about you and puurrraying about you.

And we're all gonna purr with all our strengths and alla our hearts to try and bring her home!

Lots of love and kittyhugs and purrs to alla you and yours from MaoMao and the Ballicai.

All of our eyes are leaking and leaking. We are sending you as much positive meezer energy as we have.

Karl, I love to go outside, I would all the time if I could. But mom only lets me go out in my harness, especially at our mountain house were there are coyotes. You would get the hang of it, I'm sure. Please, please reconsider.

MaoMao spoke for me, too, as I am one of the Ballicai, but I wanted to add this: know, Karl, that you and your humans are surrounded by our love and our hope.

My very favorite poet, Emily Dickinson, wrote:

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.

I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

I will keep singing the tune of hope, and I will never, ever stop.
Love to you all. And hold on, hold on, to that hope!

Karl, My Lady said that you can take the cat out of the outdoors, but you can't take the outdoors out of the cat. Even if your beans make you stay an inside kitty, you will always yearn to be outside.

My Lady had a kitty who went missing for three weeks. She finally turned up battered and bruised after all that time, but you know what? After a couple of hours of being inside, she asked to go outside on the deck. The Lady let her out and she stayed on that deck and basked in the sunlight for a couple of hours.

Even though I am an inside kitty and do not understand the fascination with the outdoors, I understand that you love it. You gotta keep on going outside. It's what you love, Karl. It's the kind of kitty you are.

Love you very much,
Henry and Clyde (and The Lady)

Someone posted this at my site so I'm just forwarding it on:

Please let Anastasia's people know searches calling out to her late at night work best. Leave something that smells like her person at the door.

I lost my Bailey when he was two in 2000, I did find him after many long searches, but it is always late at night with calling out they will answer you.

I also contacted a pet psychic that told me where to find him and she was right on target.

I hope she is found soon. But her persons need to know, if they aren't outside cats, they are extremely afraid and hide out.

Calling out late at night and watching/listening is the best way to find her.

Oh, no! Ana! Please come home! We are so upset. We hiss at bobcats! HISS!!

Karl, please be careful out there!

Zippy, Sadie, Speedy and M'Gee said...

Maybe, just maybe, she was paying attention this time and is still hiding because the bobcat is still around. Dad said he's shoot the damn thing if it were around here. We're still hoping for a miracle, if not a homecoming at least the peace of knowing that she's happy at the bridge...it's the not knowing that is hardest. And please Karl, if you can't stay inside where it is safe at least stay close to home where the maid and butler can protect you. They would probably have a breakdown if they lost you now.

Karen Jo said...

I am hoping and praying that Anastasia is just hiding out from the bobcat and will come home again. Please stay inside, Karl, or at least very close to home. Your staff wouldn't be able to stand it if you disappeared, too.

Oh no, Karl, we wuz so sad when we read yer latest update. We will still keep purring and praying furr a miracle. There has to be a chance that Ana wuz skeered by the bobcat and is waiting furr him to move on so she can come home.
Pleez reconsider and don't go outdoors.Even if yoo only give it a week or so, it will give the bobcat chance to move on. Are they protected? Could sumbuddy shoot it? Our dad sez he would shoot it if it wuz a threat to us.
We yoosed to be allowed out all day on our own until Eric started wandering too far, and I started visiting our neighbour's garden where the bad woofie who hates cats lives. Now we are only allowed out hunting and going furr walks wiv mum. We haf an outdoor run as well. We didn't like it at furrst, but we got yoosed to it.Yoo haf to put yer safety furrst, and also yer maid and butler would be devastated if yoo went missing too.
Purrrrrrrrs and (((hugs))) to yoo and yer family furrom yer furrends Eric and Flynn

Oh Karl, my humans and I are praying for Anatasia's safe return. Please stay safe yourself, okay? Cats don't need to roam. I'm an indoor-only cat, and I'm perfectly happy that way. With my lack of fur, it just wouldn't be safe for me outside, and I'm perfectly content remaining indoors.

Purring hard for Anatasia here.

Parker said...

Karl, please know that there are a lot of kitties and their humans praying very hard for Anastasia's homecoming. If not that - we pray she is safe at the Bridge, happy and watching over all of you. We hope all of you can feel our love. Mommy can't imagine the feeling of one of us missing. Our hearts are so heavy.
Karl, please stick close, I don't think the Maid and Butler could handle losing you as well.
