Forever Soraya

Our sweet sister-in-law Soraya went to the bridge this morning. Our hearts are heavy and our thoughts are with our extended family.

Off to Limburg Again!

Karl's husband Ruis had asked him if he could come to Limburg again for the weekend as the 4 day official carnival starts Saturday evening in Heel, Ruis hometown. Of course Karl went into the teleporter right away!

I never met Anastasia - but I know she and Luna would be best buddies!
I just hope Luna doesn't get into too much trouble over there in Limburg.....

A Valentine Adventure!

Happy Valentine to everybody!
Valentine's Day is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other but we decided to stretch the definition a bit and make it a day where we celebrate our closest friendships.
And what better way to do this than with an adventure trip! We booked rooms at the Castello San Marco near Taormina in Sicily and as there were so many of us Opus had to fly us down in the Magic Flying Van in two trips!
Here you see the first group (Stella, Stanley, Asta, Lacie, Charbybdis, Momo, Socks, Scylla) waiting for the arrival of the second (Ruis, Karl, Opus and Sassy), who were working at the Little Production Studios late.

We gathered in the impressive entry hall which was all decorated for Valentine!

Then we just relaxed a bit. Here are Momo, Sassy and Asta in their fabulous room.

And we decided to hang out by the pool for a while.

To ensure a quiet lunch with just the two of us Ruis and I had gotten tickets for all the others for a surprise trip to Mount Etna!

They found Sassy very close to the lava flow high up on Mount Etna and all got back safely in time for a little excursion through Taormina where we joined them again after our romantic lunch just for the two of us!

Here we are all together again at the theater in Taormina.

The evening we spent at the castle, having a wonderful Valentine's Party!

Karl's maid and I are back from our trip to Costa Rica. It was fun!

I also made lots of friends in Costa Rica, this one came with the house where I was staying in the Caribean,

and this mighty tomcat came around for food and petting. A true street cat, all scars and muscles!


I think The Cat Realm gang plans on starting up with the blogging again around Valentines, they are still in Limburg, tending to Taylor who is sick.

All Gone Away...

As the maid decided to totally desert us and go spend some time with Dicky Duck in Costa Rica we all accepted Ruis invitation to spend some days with him and the In-Laws in Limburg.
The maid and the butler saw us off, the maid will leave tomorrow and the butler claims he will enjoy the quiet. But we know he will miss us all!!!

Apologies and Awards

We would like to apologize for not visiting a lot these days. We wish we could just blame it ALL on the help who is overly busy with their own affairs and don't give us much computer time - but we ARE a bit lazy ourselves...

It's the season, as desert dwellers we always have a hard time with the 30plus night temperatures and the below lizard day temperatures... We do hope to pull ourselves together soon and visit all of you to catch up on what you are doing. Out there in the REAL winter, hahahahahahahahaha!

The Guests Who Stayed Forever...

Maybe some of you might have guessed it already but it is official:
Notty (formerly spelled Naughty) and Luna were upgraded from house guests to forever "Cat Realmer".
Tintin is totally enamored with Luna and Notty loves the staff so Mrs. OZ and I decided to keep them forever. And their former owner can't take care of them the way they deserve, so he agreed too!
The staff just shook their heads and bought more food and litter, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Welcome to The Cat Realm, Notty and Luna!

P.S. These pictures are a couple weeks old - so Luna of course is already a bit bigger!!!
And yes - Anastasia could have been Luna's soul mate.....

Secret Paws - Finally!

Finally we find the time to post about our fabulous Secret Paw!
We received it last year already....
And it came from Jeff, the new guy at The Morning Scratch!

Wonderful things: tartar removing chew toys, noise making toys, catnip stuffed toys, grain free wet food - THANK YOU SO MUCH JEFF!!!

Happy Holidays to all of you and a wonderful New Year!
We don't do holidays here at The Cat Realm so we didn't send out any cards but we very much appreciated and value the cards we received! Many heartfelt thanks to you!

And while the humans will watch "It's A Wonderful Life" and "Miracle on 34th Street" for the gazillions time you know you have your very own X-mas classic: "The Santa Caper", shown in it's entirety at Sassy's blog on X-mas day! Go over there and enjoy!

Emergency Purrs Needed!

Timothy went to the bridge peacefully
last night at 2:30 am EST.
Thank you all for your purrs.

Please purr for our friend Timothy.
He is very very close to our maid's heart - long story -
but he lives in Auburn, Maine now.
He couldn't move his hind legs and in the hospital they found that he has a blood clot in his artery. We need your purrs to help dissolve this a.s.a.p.! There was talk of having to send him to the bridge if this doesn't dissolve within 48 hours...... He is only 10 years old!
Please send you purrs and good energy to Timothy!

The 'After' Party

After the successful run of CCSI IV, "The Momomo Caper", Little Productions (LP) treated all cast and crew members to a special "After Party" at a special place! We rented Shangri La in Honolulu and flew everybody there with the MFV (Magic Flying Van).

Actually not everybody - Mrs. OZ used her MU (Magic Umbrella) and Santa Claus - who came on special invitation to hand out some gifts - paddled over.

While the LP executives had a drink at the pool...

...Mrs. OZ took the younger actors upstairs where cookies and milk shakes were prepared.

Mrs. OZ also used the opportunity to get rid of her outfit which drew it's share of "Mary Poppins" remarks during the run of the show! Then it was time for gifts! Everybody gathered in the living room and Santa Claus - who tried very hard to blend in with the locals - generously handed out presents for everybody.

Afterwards the executives Asta, Opus, Momo, Ruis, Karl and Sassy had Niptinis in the living room, Santa tried some Hula steps in the garden...

... and the young ones went back to their cookies, still supervised by Mrs. OZ.

After all that hula Santa soon enough needed to cool off a bit so he went swimming with Asta while Xing Lu is contemplating if she should join them.

A while later the other actors gathered around the pool too and Tybalt managed to even get Rudolf to take a dip, supposedly with the help of a rubber duck!

Before the party went into it's wild phase after sunset everybody gathered around for a group picture.

The next day the MFV took everybody home again except for Mrs. OZ who changed back into the "Mary Poppins" so she could go by MU.
